Stateside adventures

We have been in the states for two weeks now.  In the past 14 days we have been to Los Angeles, California, Naples, Florida, and now Fort Wayne, Indiana.  I am so thankful to be done flying in planes for a while.

Enjoy a recap of our latest adventures:

We started our adventures in California, our flight to get there went from Santo Domingo to Panama City, Panama.  We had a 5 hour layover in Pamana.  From Panama we flew to LA.

This was a very long day of travel and we were so thankful to finally be with my brother.  The following day, Jeff and the groomsmen had the bachelor party for my brother.  They went to the Dodgers vs Mets game.

While the guys were at the game the girls enjoyed some time getting their nails done.  The next day we traveled to Lompoc, California which was a couple hours north.  This is where the venue for the wedding was located at La Arboleda.  It was a quaint little town with vineyards everywhere.

Braegan loved all of the wedding festivities and getting to feel special!  The weather was beautiful, and even a little chilly compared to what we were used to in San Juan.  The day after the wedding, we helped clean up the venue and then drove to Solvang, California to visit some shops and spend some time at Ostrichland feeding ostriches and emus.

Following our time in California we flew to Florida, and we spent a week in Naples, Florida celebrating Jeff’s dad’s retirement from 35 years of teaching.  We enjoyed time at the pool, the beach, walking the pier, Jeff and Braegan went fishing, we played games, and just relaxed.

Another exciting milestone was that Braegan lost her front top two teeth!  They had been loose for quite a while and she had become attached to them.  Thankfully she allowed us to pull them.

Braegan also enjoyed a lot of time with her cousins.  Her youngest cousin is 5.5 months, so she was able to get some practice holding him.IMG_0109

The cousins left a day before us, so Braegan had some alone time with Grandma and Grandpa.  She practiced more swimming and played dress up.

From Florida we flew to Fort Wayne, Indiana which is where we are now.  It’s been nice to get unpacked a little now that we are in our final location until the baby arrives.  I had my 32 week check up on Monday.  They were able to check my blood and my platelets increased to 120.  Two weeks ago they were at 103, so this was encouraging to hear.  My next appointment will be again in 2 weeks.

On top of all of our adventures, Jeff and I are also busy with work for Solid Rock.  We’ve been in constant communication with the team on the ground, and I have continued working with our upcoming teams and solidifying reservations for their arrivals and departures.  Jeff will be flying to the DR with his dad on June 22nd.  They will be in San Juan and will return back to the midwest on June 30th.  He’s looking forward to catching up with everyone again in person.  Today we are heading to Indianapolis to spend a couple days with our directors.  We are thankful that we have a job that allows us to work remotely, but believe me we are missing our crew in San Juan!

We appreciate your continued prayers and encouragement.
